The
Edwards pumped solar hot water system, or Ground Tank Direct (GTD) comprises
a 340 litre storage cylinder at ground level with only the collectors
visible on the roof.
The process of hot water being drawn down from the collectors is done
automatically via a controller which is connected to temperature sensors
located in the collectors and the storage cylinder. When the controller
senses that there is hotter water in the collectors than in the bottom
of the tank, it automatically activates a small circulating pump to draw
the hot water into the storage cylinder. Available with gas as well as
electric back-up, with two or three panels, either Australis or Titan. |
